LCHE is a group of homeschool families that meet to work through the curriculum Tapestry of Grace. They also hold a variety of classes such as Spanish, music, science, and more.
In our effort to effectively disciple and train our children as followers of Jesus Christ, Lakeland Home Educators seeks to provide support and encouragement to home educating families, foster Christian friendships, and grow in our individual relationships with Jesus Christ, becoming like Him as we relate to our children, each other, and the world.

As you are considering opportunities for next year, Lakeland Church Home Educators invites you to find out more about our Tapestry Fellowship Group. This group provides class activities and discussions based on Tapestry of Grace curriculum and meets on Wednesdays from 9:30-12:30. There are classes for grades K-12, with nursery and preschool available for younger siblings. This group facilitates your teaching the subjects of history, geography, and literature.
All levels use Tapestry curriculum and "living" books as students process the material and shape their biblical worldviews. The primary vehicle for group learning on Wednesdays in grades K-6 is hands-on activities, with supporting discussion; parents still function as their children’s primary teachers and mentors following the curriculum at home the rest of the week.
Grades 7-12 students participate in Wednesday group facilitator-led discussions which enrich their ability to process and understand the reading and questions the students have previously done at home. There are two large group family Celebrations, one in the spring and one in the fall.
