What is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith. Typically run over eleven weeks, each session looks at a different question that people can have about faith and is designed to create conversation. It’s just an open, informal and honest space to explore and discuss life’s big questions together.
If you’ve participated in Alpha before it’s your turn to invite and bring a friend who doesn’t know Jesus! The beauty of Alpha is that you don’t need to have all the answers. Rather you can join your friend in exploring issues of life and faith together.
The next Alpha course will be held on Wednesdays at 6:45p.m. starting September 11. To register click here.

Looking to help at Alpha?
Join us for our Alpha Prayer Night where we will worship and pray for this next season of Alpha. This will be Wednesday, August 21, from 7p.-8p in room 501 at Lakeland.
This fall we are also asking everyone to participate in our Prayer Challenge for Alpha, before its launch. Following the example of Luke 11:2, we are asking the entire church to set a daily alarm at 11:02am as a reminder to pray for three people and our city for the 21 days (starting 8/20) before Alpha. Think about ways you could extend an invitation to your friends to explore faith on Alpha. Be open and expectant to see how God might use you!
